RBI has increased RTGS business hours: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has increased Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) business hours from 7.30 hours to 12 hours. Now the business hours for RTGS will be 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays as against the earlier 9 am to 4.30 pm. Further on Saturdays, the RTGS business hours has been increased from earlier 5 hours to 7.30 hours, that is, now a consumer will be able to transfer fund online between 8 am to 3.30 pm as against the earlier timings of 9 am to 2 pm.

Jagaran Prakashan Ltd: Jagran Prakashan Limited (JPL) has acquired Music Broadcast Private Ltd (MBPL) in all cash deal. MBPL operates the popular Radio City FM station.

Rory Mcllory: Rory Mcllory of Ireland was named as the 2014 Race to Dubai European Tour Golfer of the Year.

Shriti Vadera: Indian-origin Shriti Vadera has appointed as the Chairman of Santander UK, a major British bank. She will be first woman to head a major British Bank.

Human Rights Prize 2014: Pro-democracy activist of China Xu Youyu won the Olof Palme Human Rights Prize for the year 2014.
