Shaheen-II: Pakistan successfully test-fired a ballistic missile Shaheen-II, also called Halt-IV, capable of carrying nuclear and normal warheads with the strike range of 1,500 km was launched from an disclosed location.

Hand-in-Hand 2014: A military joint exercise between Indian and China the exercise ‘Hand-in-Hand 2014’ is all set to begin at Pune’s Aundh Camp on 16 November, 2014. This will be the fourth joint training exercise by the Indian Army with China.

ICC: International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced appointment of its ambassadors for ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. The ambassadors for ICC 2015 includes: Virat Kohli (India), Mitchell Johnson (Australia), Brendon McCullum (New Zealand), Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka) and Shane Watson (Australia).
