GSAT-16 satellite: India successfully launched its communication satellite GSAT-16 by Arianespace rocket from the spaceport of Kourou in French Guiana. Satellite GSAT-16 built by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

CBERS-4 satellite: China has successfully launched the CBERS-4 satellite using a Long March-4B rocket. CBERS-4 is jointly developed by China and Brazil. It is the fifth satellite of the Chinese Brazilian Earth Resource Satellite (CBERS) programme which began in 1988. 

Katinka Hosszu: Hungary’s swimmer Katinka Hosszu won her fourth gold medal of the event and broke the world record in the 200 metres individual medley at the world short-course swimming championships in Dhoa.
